Through the eyes of a child
I am but a child, in this huge world.
My body has yet to grow,
My 'wings' are still furled close and tight,
Yet my eyes see much you know.
Do you see how I see?
Stoop down and gaze a while,
Look at life, through the eyes of a child,
Be ready to lose your smile.
Here I am, but a toddler, sitting in my buggy,?
Well, please ask that person to turn their bag,
For it's coming right at me.
Oh no,! what is this coming now,?
Before my little face.
It's one of those huge umberella's,
Oh ouch, was that a briefcase?
Now here's a friendly little face,
What will this chappie say,
No!!! I don't like the look of his teeth,
Please take that dog away.
I like the look of that French stick.
Poking out of the shopping bag.
Oops,! I only had a little touch.
Crumbs, that lady sure is mad.
Please don't push me near the edge,
Those wheels are big and black.
Keep me safe into the side.
For my journey there and back.
The hurrying and scurrying makes me wild,
As nobody wants to see,
That through the eyes of I, but a child.
How dangerous life seems to be!!
